How to Maintain an Evaporator in an A/C System on 2007 Dodge Caliber?

To access the evaporator for service, first remove the HVAC housing from your car and put it on a workbench; this will be the same for any LHD or RHD model. Take apart the housing around the HVAC unit to get to the A/C evaporator. If the foam around the A/C evaporator is not in good shape, it should be changed. Tilt the HVAC case forward enough to loosen the foam inside and remove the A/C and foam insulator (there are some screws holding these pieces in place). Should the seal around the evaporator tube tapping block be damaged, it requires replacement.
