2007 Dodge Caliber Ignition Lock Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2007 Dodge Caliber?
A: The very first thing you should do when servicing the ignition lock cylinder is to pull the steering column control module out of the steering column. With Thatcham security in your car, remove the screws at the top of the key hole and pull off the cup. Then, unscrew the fastener that holds the Skreem/Wcm to the lock cylinder, pull the Skreem/Wcm retainer fingers free and remove the Skreem/Wcm. Turn the key cylinder to the Run setting after inserting the key and press down on the retaining tab by inserting a suitable tool into the space on the lock cylinder housing. Grab the key and cylinder together and move them straight out of the ignition. Unscrew the two screws that hold the lock cylinder housing to the column with a six pointed 30 bit Tamper-Proof Torx(R) Plus and remove the housing. Lastly, take out the screw holding the ignition module and pull it right out from the lock cylinder tabs.
