2007 Dodge Dakota Battery Tray Parts and Q&A
Q: How to install a battery tray on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Make sure to clean and check the battery tray before setting it into your vehicle. Put in the six upper battery tray bolts and the two front battery tray bolts so they're just held on for now. Lift the car onto a hoist, keeping the bolt hole in the center of the chassis free so that you can fasten the fender liner. After that, secure the two lower battery tray bolts to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). When that's done, set the left front fender liner in place and lower the car. After that, tighten the bolts on the upper battery tray to 10 Nm and the front battery tray bolts to 8.5 Nm. Fasten the engine compartment wire harness pushpins to the battery tray after that, then connect the negative cable by pushing in its pushpins to the battery. After replacing the Antilock Brake System Hydraulic Control Unit, put the bolts you removed earlier on the battery tray and tighten them with 18 Nm (160 in. lbs.). Set up both the Integrated Power Module and the battery and be sure the car is running correctly.
