2008 Dodge Dakota Battery Tray Parts and Q&A
Q: How to remove a battery tray on 2008 Dodge Dakota?
A: Start by taking off and isolating the negative cable from the battery to remove the tray. After that, take out the battery. With that done, take off the IPM (1) and the HCU (3) by removing the two screws (2) from the battery tray (1). Take off the negative cable pushpins (5) from the battery and the wire harness pushpins (3) from the battery tray (2). Lift out the left headlamp and remove the six upper battery tray bolts. Lift the vehicle up on a hoist and take off the left front fender liner, making sure that the middle fastener hole in the liner is still open (1). After that, take out the lower battery tray bolts (2), lower your vehicle and pull the battery tray (2) out of the car.
