How to install a hood hinge on 2007 Dodge Dakota?

Start installing the hood hinge by sliding the hinge back into position on the fender rail aligning all marks. From inside the engine compartment install the two hinge bolts and tighten the rear bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.) and front bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Then add the nuts that join the hinge to the hood and tighten them to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Finally put the support cylinder on and make sure the hood fits and make any adjustments that need to be made.
