2007 Dodge Dakota Radiator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Safely Detach a Radiator on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: The first thing you need to do to remove the radiator is disconnect the battery negative terminal and empty the cooling fluid. After that, unfasten the pushpins and the seal/gasket for the upper condenser/radiator (1) and lose the upper radiator hose. Take off the power steering hoses from the power steering fluid cooler and, if there is one and it's accessible, disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines. Take away the overflow tube and dismantle the radiator fan shroud, placing it over the radiator fan. Raise the vehicle, take off the power steering cooler lines and take out the lower radiator hose as your last step. Declutch the vehicle, lower it, remove the upper radiator mounting bolts and then take out the radiator. Should it be needed, remove the power steering fluid oil cooler from the radiator.
