2007 Dodge Dakota Rocker Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Rocker Arm Assembly on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Press Tool 8516 downward on the valve spring while placing the rocker arm over the lash adjusters so the ring correctly lines up with the concave (oval-shaped) pocket of the rocker arm. Before installing the rocker arms, treat them with clean engine oil. No. 4 Cylinder: Spin the crank until cylinder No. 1 is sitting on BDC or bottom, intake stroke. Set cylinder No. 1 to the bottom dead center of its combustion cycle in the crankshaft. The crankshaft must be turned for cylinders No. 3 and No. 5 until cylinder No. 1 is located at its exhaust TDC piston position. Til the crankshaft until cylinder No. 1 in both No. 2 and No. 6 is at the top of it's stroke. You should also install the cylinder head cover at the end.
