Before you remove the valve rocker arm, remove the negative
Battery Cable to avoid the engine accidentally starting. After that, take out the cylinder head cover. To remove the rocker arm on cylinder No. 4, move the
Crankshaft so that cylinder No. 1 is at intake bottom dead center. When working on cylinder No. 1, adjust the crankshaft so that BDC in the combustion stroke is reached. Rotate the crankshaft for cylinders No. 3 and No. 5 until you reach the exhaust stroke position on cylinder No. 1. Cylinders No. 2 and No. 6 should be rotated so that cylinder No. 1 reaches TDC at the ignition stroke. Afterward, with the Remover/Installer 8516A (2), press down on the valve spring to remove the rocker arm.
