2007 Dodge Dakota Wheel Bearing Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Wheel Bearing Correctly on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before putting in the wheel bearing, position the brake dust shield (5) into place. After that, insert the hub/bearing (1) into the steering knuckle (4) and fasten the bolts (3) to a torque of 163 Nm (120 ft. lbs.). Needless to say, the first brake component to install is the rotor and caliper. Replace the ABS wheel speed sensor if supplied with one (2). For 4X4 vehicles, put in the halfshaft nut and tighten it with a torque of 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.). Last, set the wheel and tire on the hub, lift up the support and guide the vehicle down.
