2007 Dodge Dakota Wheel Hub Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Wheel Hub on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Raise the vehicle, then support it before you take off the wheel and tire assembly. After that, remove the brake caliper and the rotor and if the vehicle is equipped, take off the ABS wheel speed sensor. Take out the halfshaft nut if you are working with a 4X4 model. Care must be taken to avoid hitting the knuckle with a hammer when removing any tie rod end or ball joint because it can harm the knuckle. Pull the steering knuckle down to remove the halfshaft from the hub/bearing on trucks with four-wheel drive. After that, get rid of the three hub/bearing mounting bolts securing the steering knuckle and pull the hub/bearing out of it. In the end, remove the brake dust shield.
