2007 Dodge Dakota Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: What is the correct method for installing a Wiper Arm on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before setting up the wiper arms, place the wiper motor in park by using the On setting on the ignition switch and turning the multi-function control knob to Off. Allow the wiper blades to completely stop and after that, turn the ignition to Off. It is important to index the wiper arms to the pivot shafts with the blade motor turned off. Put the wiper arm pivot end over the pivot at the same time as lowering the wiper blade edge and matching it with the wiper alignment lines in the upper margin of the lower windshield tinted zone. Take your hand and release some pressure from the wiper spring by lifting the arm slightly outwards, then push the arm down over the shaft. Place a breaker bar on the nut and tighten it to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Wet the windshield, activate the wipers, switch the wiper to Off and make sure the arm returns to its correct position. Finally, replace the plastic nut cap on top of the pivot nut.
