2007 Dodge Durango EGR Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How is the EGR Valve Installed on a 3.7L Engine on 2007 Dodge Durango?
A: Before installing the EGR valve on a 3.7L engine, clean both the gasket at the back of the left cylinder head and the EGR tube where it meets the EGR valve. Afterward, slip a fresh gasket between the EGR valve and the cylinder head, line up the EGR valve on the cylinder head and fasten it with two bolts, tightening them to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). Place a new gasket between the tube flange and the EGR valve, place the EGR tube on the opposite side of the valve and put its end into the intake manifold. Join the tube with two bolts and make sure you torque them to a force of 11 Nm (8.5 ft. lbs.). After that, place the electrical connector onto the top of the EGR valve solenoid, then fit the windshield wiper motor and windshield cowl panel in place.
