2007 Dodge Grand Caravan Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace the Rear Brake Disc on 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: To replace the rear brake rotor, pull the caliper piston all the way inside the bore of the caliper first. After that, attach the brake rotor to the hub so it sits evenly on its face. During installation, be careful not to contact the caliper guide pin bushings on the mounting bosses with the caliper assembly. While ensuring everything is secure, gently low the brake assembly onto the adapter and rotor, doing it in the detail order seen during removal. Be very careful that the guide pin bolts are not cross-threaded. Screw in the caliper guide pin bolts with a torque of 35 Nm (26 ft.lbs). After installing the wheel and tire, start tightening the stud nuts, following the sequence so that all are just half of their specified torque, then repeat to tighten until you reach 135 Nm (100 ft.lbs). After everything else, lower the vehicle onto the ground.
