How to Service the Cigarette Lighter Power Outlet on 2007 Dodge Nitro?

The first thing to do before servicing the auxiliary cigarette lighter is to remove the negative cable from the battery. Watch how the retaining bosses are placed in each ring. With the 9857 Cigarette Lighter Remover, drive the tilt tool into the base to force the bosses to release. Rock the tool slowly to pull the base out through the mounting area. Cut the base wires, set the base out of the way and remove the mount ring from the base.
