How to Install the Drive Belt for Power Steering on 2007 Dodge Nitro?

Clamp the power steering belt onto the crankshaft pulley and confirm it is all the way into the grooves. Following this, put the top of the belt in place on the power steering pulley. Lock only nylon-coated ties instead of metal ones. Pass a nylon wire tie, 7.75X1 / 8x.50 in., through a hole in the power steering pulley, outer side down and tighten it to secure the drive belt. As you keep the belt in place, rotate the engine a little bit clockwise. Bolt the belt tightly onto the pulley, then slowly run the engine until the wire tie comes apart. At this point, remove the wire tie from your vehicle.
