2007 Dodge Nitro Radiator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Prevent Overheating When Installing a Radiator or A/C Condenser on 2007 Dodge Nitro?
A: Be certain to attach the rubber air seals for the radiator and A/C condenser in their original locations on the top, bottom and sides of the vehicle before installing them, so overheating doesn't occur. Slowly get the radiator and fan shroud into the car and while doing so, guide the radiator dowels into the rubber grommets at the bottom of the radiator crossmember. Put the upper and lower radiator hoses together, clamp them using the hose clamps and ensure the tangs face straight down. Put the coolant tank hose from the reservoir onto the radiator and secure all four bolts that fix the radiator in place. Fit the electric cooling fan back to the engine, put the grille in place and attach the cooling fan. With the fan blades rotated by hand, check for any points of interference close to the fan shroud; if none are found, you can then pour in the coolant. Now, fit the battery cable at the battery, start and warm the engine and inspect the system for any leaks.
