How to Effectively Service and Repair an Exhaust Manifold on 2007 Dodge Nitro?

Before starting on the exhaust manifold, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Lift and support the vehicle and after that, remove the nuts and bolts that hold the exhaust pipe to the engine exhaust manifold. Take the exhaust heat shield off by lowering the vehicle after the bucket. Afterward, remove the bolts, nuts and washers that hold the manifold to the cylinder head, then get rid of the manifold and gasket from the top of the cylinder head. It works the same way for the right and left exhaust manifolds.
