How to Safely Service a Power Steering Pump Pulley on 2007 Dodge Nitro?

It is not safe to reuse the old power steering pump pulley; a replacement must be put in place if it is ever removed. If you see that the pulley is bent, cracked or loose, replace it. Make sure that the pulley is correctly positioned on the shaft, flush with its end and remain aligned using the OTC (R) 7771 power steering pulley installation tool. After setting up the pulleys, go on to install the air box assembly, then the power steering belt, fan shroud, washer/coolant reservoir assembly and air cleaner housing.
