2007 Dodge Nitro Washer Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain Your Washer Pump on 2007 Dodge Nitro?
    A: The first thing to do is disconnect and separate the negative cable of the battery before proceeding. Pour the washer fluid from the washer reservoir - on the left of the cooling module inside the engine compartment - into a clean container you can use again. After that, pull off the front end module wire harness connector (3) from the top of the motor housings' washer pump/motor unit connector receptacle (2). Take the two washer hoses (4 and 5) away from the washer pump/motor unit's outlet nipples. Hold the top edge of the washer pump/motor housing tightly and pull it out slightly from the reservoir; make sure not to accidently damage the reservoir at this point. Pull out the washer pump/motor up and away from the reservoir to remove the inlet nipple from the seal/filter screen it is connected to inside the washer. Next, take out and dispose of the rubber grommet seal/filter screen covering the pump mounting hole in the washer's reservoir.
