2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix the Rear Outboard Seat Belt in a Mega Cab on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: To look after and fix the rear outboard seat belt in a Mega Cab, examine every seat belt, buckle, fastener, retractor, tether strap and anchor plate for correct installation, operation or damage and flaw and fix or replace any failed, loose, twisted or broken parts. DaimlerChrysler advises that any bent or damaged child restraint anchor should be exchanged and people should use unbroken replacements from the catalog instead of trying to fix any damaged seat or belt area. Only the plastic web stop button is useful in the unit; you can replace it after following the instructions in the service kit. All retractors, apart from the driver front one, can be locked automatically by a switch. Begin by removing the back seat from the car and then take out the lower anchor's screw from the inner C-pillar. Unsnap and throw away the front seat belt turning loop's cover, then unscrew the holder for the seat belt turning loop high on the C-pillar and remove the seat belt turning loop from there. Then, take out the upper and lower trim located inside the C-pillar, break the clips holding the belt web guide to the C-pillar and unscrew the retractor's lower bracket from the C-pillar. In the end, remove the hooks from the upper bracket on the retractor and take the whole rear outboard seat belt and retractor out of the C-pillar.
