• Q: How to Install a Washer Pump for a Gasoline Engine on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?

  A: Before attaching the washer pump to your gasoline engine, fill the pump hole on the washer fluid tank (6) with a new rubber grommet seal (4). Place the barbed nipple of the washer pump against the rubber grommet, press the motor assembly into the reservoir until the barbed inlet nipple goes in all the way and hold that position for one minute. Put the snap post at the end of the pump motor on top of the washer motor unit into the receptacle in the washer's bottom housing and push the top down until the snap meets the receptacle. Over the barbed pump outlet, reconnect the reservoir washer hose and hook up the headlamp and dash wire connector to washer pump/motor connector (1). Fill the reservoir with washer fluid as it was originally drained and then reattach the battery negative cable.
