How to Maintain and Fix an Oxygen Sensor on 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?

Make sure the engine has cooled before servicing or repairing the oxygen sensor, as the exhaust manifold, pipes and catalytic converter can heat up a lot while it's running. First, raise and support the vehicle, then get the wire connector out of the O2S sensor while making sure not to pull on the wire going into the sensor itself. Get rid of the oxygen sensor with a suited tool, wash the exhaust pipe threads with the suitable tap and put in a new O2S sensor using a suitable tool. Don't apply oil or grease to the electrical connector and try not to solder the sensor wiring harness.
