How to Locate and Remove the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) is found on the right on the timing gear/chain cover directly underneath the generator. Disconnect the CMP sensor connection to the electrical hardware first to remove the sensor. After that, unfasten the sensor mounting bolt. Tip: Unscrew the sensor from the timing gear/chain cover to check the state of the sensor O-ring.
