How to Service and Repair the Lower Oil Pan on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

Before servicing or repairing the lower oil pan, remove the remote ground. Lift the hood, drain the motor oil and take out the dipstick tube with its bolt. If the damage is bad on the oil dipstick tube bolt O-ring, make sure to replace it. After that, take out the lower oil pan bolts and attach a bolt in the oil pan boss to slowly remove the lower oil pan from the upper oil pan, so you avoid damaging the seals. You should use a wooden or plastic tool to remove the seal instead of scraping with metal and keep an eye on the oil level sending unit or its wire while doing so. After that, use a plastic or wooden scraper to completely remove the lower oil pan from the upper oil pan.
