  A: For any valve seal service or repair, first secure the negative battery cable, then remove the intake manifold/cylinder head cover and make sure the rocker arms and lifters are in order and kept upright. Place the rocker arms to the side, fit adaptor 9553 into the injector hole and tighten with an injector hold down bolt. Use shop air to pressurize the cylinder in the 9295 and place towels around the area where work is done on the cylinder head so valve locks do not enter the engine by mistake. After installing adaptor MD998772A-15, squeeze the valve spring with a press to remove the locks, the valve spring and the valve seal. Run the procedure for each cylinder in the engine one at a time.
