2007 Jeep Commander Battery Tray Parts and Q&A
Q: How to install a battery tray in a gas engine on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: When installing the battery tray for a gas engine, make sure to clean it first. Put the battery tray and support unit in the right front corner of the engine, so that no cables or pipes are accidentally trapped or blocked by them. Attach the back of the battery tray to the front frame rail stud with one nut, tighten it to 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.). After that, put one screw through the left inner fender to secure the other side of the battery tray. Check that it's tightened to 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.). After that, hold the battery tray in place and use two screws to connect it to the inner fender and the bracket under the radiator support. Tighten every screw to 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.). Secure the battery tray to the three pin connector of the harness and attach the battery to the tray last.
