    A: In order to take off the crankshaft, firstly, remove the engine out of the vehicle and the oil pump. Take off the oil pan without destroying the gasket, then the bedplate bolts with location of stud bolts being taken note of. Unscrew the connecting rods, rearrange the bedplate, and then lastly unscrew the crankshaft without scuffing the bearing surfaces.
