2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Shock Absorber Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain Your Right Front Shock Absorber on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Take the air box cover and air intake hose off; afterward, unhook the cruise control servo electrical connector to work on the right front shock absorber. After that, take out the reservoir mounting bolt and set the coolant reservoir aside. Undo all four upper shock mounting nuts, raise the vehicle, set it on supports and take the tire off. After that, take out the two brake caliper adapter bolts, but keep the brake caliper adapter and caliper from hanging by the brake hose. First, remove the disc brake rotor and afterward take off the nut on the upper ball joint and separate them with tool 8677. First, take out the lower clevis bolt close to the lower control arm; then, remove the lower stabilizer bolt there; and then, take the shock from the vehicle. If you need to, eliminate the spring.
