2007 Jeep Liberty Door Latch Assembly Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: The first thing to do when servicing or repairing a front door latch is remove and isolate the negative battery cable. Lift the waterdam, when needed, so you can reach the latch. When that is done, unscrew the two rear bolt-in run channel clips and put the channel to one side. Unscrew the handle rod outside and then unscrew the knob rod and link rod at the latch, both on the inside. After that, take off the five screws and remove the latch assembly. As the last step, unplug all the electrical fascia connectors.
