The first step to fixing the timing chain is to remove the negative battery cable and remove the timing chain cover. Turn the crankshaft until the timing marks are in alignment, then loosen the sprocket bolt of the camshaft and the sprocket and disconnect the timing chain. Finally, remove crankshaft sprocket.
