2007 Jeep Wrangler Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Service a Crankshaft Seal on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: You should first disconnect the transmission and the flex plate for crankshaft main bearing seal service and repair. Use a 3/16 flat-bladed pry tool to slide down and separate the dust lip into the metal case of the crankshaft seal, prying it free by going toward the dust lip. Do not press the pry tool onto the crankshaft seal, but it's all right to touch the chamfered edge of the crankshaft.
