How to Maintain and Fix an Oxygen Sensor on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?

For safety, confirm the engine is cool before carrying out any work on the oxygen sensor since all the related areas can become quite hot when running. Support and lift the vehicle, then release the wire connection from the O2S sensor. Do not directly pull on the cable leading into the sensor. The O2S sensor can be taken out using an appropriate tool or by using a 22mm or 7/8 inch wrench. After that, clean the threads in the exhaust pipe with the right tap. Don't use any grease on the oxygen sensor connector and never solder any parts of the sensor wire harness.
