  • Q: How to Maintain the Camshaft Position Sensor on a 3.8L Engine on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
    A: Disconnect the negative battery cable before handling the Camshaft Position Sensor in a 3.8L engine. After that, remove the electrical connectors. Take out the bolt that holds the sensor and rotate the sensor as you pull it, being sure to take off the O-ring under it. The CMP is bolted up front and is wired to the engine through a pigtail harness.
