2008 Chrysler 300 Power Steering Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Hose in Right-Hand-Drive on 2008 Chrysler 300?
A: Before fixing the power steering hose in a right-hand-drive vehicle, take out the negative cable from the battery post and disconnect it. Next, take out the power steering fluid and, with this out of the way, remove the air cleaner housing and its link to the throttle body. For 2.7L/3.5L engines, remove the nut holding the tube together and pull the hose out of the pump. If you are running a 5.7L/6.1L engine, proceed in the same way. Also for the 3.0L diesel engine, take the tube nut off and remove the pressure hose from the pump. After that, lift the vehicle, support it and take off the belly pan. Undo the two screws that hold the pressure hose routing clamp to its place on the engine cradle and remove it. Take off the tube nut from the pressure hose that is connected to the steering gear and pull the pressure hose out of your vehicle.
