How to Service and Repair a Heater Control Valve on 2008 Chrysler Crossfire?

Service and repair of the heater control valve should be done only when the coolant temperature is below 90°C. Before beginning, slowly open the radiator cap on the reservoir after making sure to wear proper gloves, clothing and goggles. After that, unfasten the top screw on the heat shield and take out the heat shield. Turn off the hot side of the taps and then loosen and remove the hoses at the heater. After that, pull the electrical connector on the valve, take off the rubber mounts from the body and remove the valve itself.
