2008 Chrysler Crossfire Mass Air Flow Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Mass Air Flow Sensor on 2008 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to service and repair the Mass Air Flow Sensor. After that, lift the engine cover by holding the corners and pulling up. Unplug the harness connected to the MAF/IAT and take away the vent tube from the engine. Remove the lock ring from the intake by placing a polite tool into the ring and turning its tabs to unlock them from the intake. To unlock it from the intake, press down the locking tab on the MAF in the bottom right corner and then to unlock it from the manifold, press its upper left locking tab toward the top. Take out the Mass Air Flow Sensor from the intake manifold and examine the sealing ring; if it's damaged, replace it with a new one. It's also important to observe the sealing ring joining the air inlet to the Mass Air Flow Sensor and check the locking tabs on it; replace any parts that need to be updated.
