How to Maintain and Fix Oxygen Sensors on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?

Be careful not to touch the very hot exhaust manifold, pipes or catalytic converter by allowing the engine to cool completely before starting service. Both the downstream and upstream sensors need to be removed using an oxygen sensor (O2S) removal tool. Click on the jack and lift up the car before beginning. If your vehicle has an O2S wire harness clipped to the engine or body, remove these clips. Disconnect the O2S pigtail harness from the engine wiring harness and unpackage the O2S from the catalytic converter. Events for the upstream oxygen sensor require you to first disconnect the O2S wire harness clips, separate the O2S pigtail harness from the engine harness and take out the O2S from the catalytic converter.
