2007 Chrysler Pacifica Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How Should You Replace and Reset the Oxygen Sensor for a 3.8L Engine on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: To replace the O2 sensor lower on a 3.8L Ford, always clear the PCM RAM by either disconnecting the PCM C-1 connector or the Battery's negative terminal, since Ford 3.8L ECUs learn from the O2 heater elements. Once you remove the sensor, thread an 18 mm X 1.5 + 6E tap around the threads to clear them. For original sensors, put on a sign of anti-seize material such as Loctite 771-64 on the sensor's threads, but there is no need to apply it on new sensors, as these are already coated. Apply a sensor torque of 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.), put on the heated oxygen sensor connector and put the vehicle on the ground before placing the negative battery cable once more.
