  • Q: How to Service a Camshaft Position Sensor on a 3.8L Engine on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: For any 3.8L engine, always disconnect and isolate the negative cable at the battery before servicing the Camshaft Position Sensor. After that, remove the connectors from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor. Loose the mounting bolt for the CMP sensor, then remove the sensor leaving the bolt where it is. The CMP sensor has now been taken out.
