How to Install an Automatic Transmission Shifter on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

First the shift mechanism is positioned and is secured to the floor pan with the mechanism to floor pan nuts torqued to 105 in. lbs. (12 Nm). Next connect the gearshift cable to the shift mechanism and adjust the gearshift cable. Then, mate the shift bezel lamp socket and install and torque shift bezel to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Bend BTSI cable to shift mechanism and secure to the shift mechanism and adjust BTSI cable as necessary. Install the center console assembly and install the gear shift knob and torque the set screw to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).
