2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Clutch Slave Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Clutch Slave Cylinder on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Make sure there is brake master fluid up to the reservoir cap line and the cap is screwed in securely before starting the Clutch Slave Cylinder replacement. Make sure your brake fluid level is correct and top off if needed. Once done, put on and tighten the cap of the master brake cylinder. Place the vehicle on a hoist, then use a proper screwdriver to take out both retainers from the hydraulic line snap rings. Undo and take off the slave cylinder-to-transaxle bolts. Have a new slave cylinder at hand, then take off the old one from the transaxle and remove it from the hydraulic tube. Link the replacement slave cylinder to the plumbing and clip it into place with both retaining clips.
