How to Service and Repair a Fuel Filler Neck on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before starting to service or fix the fuel filler neck, take out the air cleaner hood and makeup air pipe and next, pull out the negative battery cable. Wiggle the cap on the fuel tube loose and take out the screws fastening the fuel filler neck. Support the vehicle and take out the right rear wheel. Take off the back part of the inner splash shield. Should your fuel tank be above half full, drain it completely. After that, unplug the fuel filler tube hose from the fuel tank neck and remove the complete fuel filler assembly.
