How to Service and Repair a Starter Motor on a 2.4L Engine on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before starting service on the starter motor, open the hood and remove the air cleaner box. Disconnect and dismantle from the battery negative, the next step is to raise your vehicle safely with the hoist. Take out the Engine Structural Collar and disconnect the cables connected to the starter motor. In the last step, loosen and pull off the starter motor bolts from its mount and carefully remove the starter motor from your vehicle.
