  A: First, remove the air cleaner lid, unhook the inlet air temperature sensor and the makeup air hose and take out the negative battery cable before continuing. Also, remove the engine cover or throttle control shield, if your bike has either. Lift the tabs on the bracket and slide the throttle cable out of the cam. If there is speed control in the vehicle, pull the impact bolts from the speed control cable, slide the clasp out of the hole and then place the speed control box near the saddle. Unplug the nipple on the throttle body from the EVAP purge hose and single-wire connections from the throttle position sensor and idle air control motor. Unscrew the two screws holding the cable mounting bracket and support bracket and next remove the two bolts securing the throttle body. Lastly, get the throttle body out of its place by lifting it straight up and out.
