  A: For 2.0/2.4L engines, to maintain the throttle body, open the air cleaner, take off the IAT sensor and its hose and remove the negative battery cable from the connector. If your device has an engine cover or throttle control shield, then take it off now. Remove the throttle cable from the throttle body cam by lifting the retaining tabs and sliding it our of the bracket. If your vehicle comes with speed control, slip the speed control clip out of the hole where the throttle cable is attached. Take off the EVAP purge hose from the nipple on the throttle body, then remove the electrical connectors from the throttle position sensor and idle air control motor. Remove the two screws securing the cable mounting bracket and support bracket and also remove the bolts holding the throttle body. Then, lift the throttle body straight away and up to take it out.
