How to Maintain and Fix a Timing Belt Tensioner on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

The first thing to do when servicing or repairing a timing belt tensioner and pulley is to take off the timing belt. Following that, unmount the timing belt idler pulley. Hold the camshaft sprocket securely with the Camshaft Sprocket Holder 6847 and use a socket to take out one of the bolts. Once out, remove both camshaft sprockets. Once that is done, take off the fasteners for the rear timing belt cover and take it off the engine. After that, remove the bolt from the timing belt tensioner assembly, then take the whole assembly out.
