How to Service and Repair a Timing Belt Tensioner on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before beginning the service or repair of an engine timing tensioner, remove the timing belt and then remove the timing belt idler pulley. After loosening the bolts at the Camshaft Holder, put the Camshaft Sprocket Holder on the sprocket, then lift out both sprockets. Then, remove the rear timing belt cover screws and take the cover off the engine. When using a socket, take out the lower bolt that attaches the timing belt tensioner assembly to the engine. Afterward, remove the entire assembly.
