2008 Chrysler Sebring A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Service and Repair an A/C Hose Discharge Line on 2008 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Begin your work on the HVAC discharge line by turning off and isolating the negative on the battery and then retrieve the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Raise and help prop up the vehicle and pull the splash shield from the frame rail on the right. After that, take off the nut holding the A/C discharge line to the compressor, unhook the line and dispose of the O-ring seal and gasket. Cover the open discharge line fitting with a plug or tape and block the port leading to the compressor with a plug. Then, lower the car. Remove the wire harness connector connect from the pressure transducer found on the right side of the radiator. Cut off the locking nut, separate the A/C discharge line from the discharge jumper line and throw away the O-ring seal and gasket. Still, be sure to put plugs in or tape on the discharge and jumper line fittings. If support is needed, take out the A/C pressure transducer from the A/C discharge line.
