Start your service of the A/C suction line by disconnecting and then isolating the negative
Battery Cable and then recovery the refrigerant. Lift and hold the vehicle, then take out the
A/C Accumulator. Go to the front right area of the car through the bottom opening in the front fascia, unbolt the nut connecting the A/C liquid line to the
A/C Condenser, disconnect the line and toss away the rubber seal and gasket. Place plugs or tape over the refrigerant line fittings as well as the condenser and accumulator ports. Lower the vehicle again and remove the three screws that hold the heat shield on the dash panel. After that, remove the windscreen
Washer Reservoir. After that, take out the nut that holds the refrigerant line retaining bracket to the right front strut tower. On RHD, separate the retainers from the power brake vacuum tube and relocate the line away from the way you want it. Pull out the bolt holding the A/C liquid and suction line assembly to the A/C
Evaporator, disconnect the unit from the evaporator and discard both seals. After opening the refrigerant ports and fittings, quickly seal them all. Get rid of the A/C liquid and suction line assembly from the engine compartment. Series For this line, too, repeat the action of disconnecting the battery cable from the negative terminals, sealing it with electrical tape and removing the refrigerant. Raise the vehicle, remove the right front wheel and unlock the push-pin retainers and remove the screws securing the front part of the
Wheelhouse splash shield to reach the A/C accumulator. Open the nut locking the lower A/C suction line to the A/C accumulator, separate the line and throw out the O-ring and gasket. Close the caps on both suction line fittings and the accumulator port, remove the nut held by the lower A/C suction line at the compressor, loosen that line and throw away the O-ring and gasket. Cover the suction fitting and the compressor port on the upper line before taking out the A/C lower line from below.
