2008 Chrysler Sebring Throttle Body Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body for 2.0 and 2.4L Engines on 2008 Chrysler Sebring?
A: You should begin servicing the throttle body for 2.0 and 2.4L engines by disconnecting the negative battery cable. This way, electricity is not present, as the throttle plate could move on its own which may result in injury or cause the computer to store a fault code. After that, take out the throttle body air intake hose and disconnect the connector to the throttle body. Coming next, you should take out the support bracket bolt and then remove the four bolts beneath that hold the throttle body and bracket to the manifold. While you inspect, check the intake manifold to throttle body gasket for breaks and ensure the j-nuts are in good condition; change anything that's broken.
